Dr. Lee Rice, DO, FAAFP, FAOASM, FACSM Board of Advisors; President of My Life Wellness Institute. Chairman of Integrative Medicine for National University

Dr. E. Lee Rice, the CEO and Medical Director of Lifewellness Institute, is a pioneer in the field of wellness and preventive medicine. With more than twenty-five years experience as a family physician, Dr. Rice has become one of the premier medical experts on wellness in the United States.

In 2001, Dr. Rice founded the Lifewellness Institute, a revolutionary healthcare facility focusing on health promotion. Dr. Rice is a clinical professor at Western University of Health Sciences, the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and San Diego State University. He lectures internationally at medical conferences and to businesses. He also serves as a frequent speaker for executive organizations, including Young Presidents Organization (YPO), World Presidents Organization (WPO), The Executive Committee (TEC) and Vistage International. He has authored numerous medical texts and journal articles in the areas of wellness and sports medicine.

In 2009 Dr. Rice became the Chairman of Integrative Medicine for National University, the second largest private university in the United States with 28 campuses. Dr. Rice is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. Dr. Rice's vision for comprehensive health is incorporated into all of his activities and is the guiding principal of the Lifewellness Institute.

L. Dorian Dugmore, MD Board of Advisors; President and Founder, Wellness International Ltd. Chief Wellness Officer Adidas Corporation

Adidas U.K. and Dr. Dorian Dugmore joined forces (1997-2009) to pioneer a new concept in Preventative Medicine and Wellness at the adidas U.K. headquarters in Hazel Grove, Stockport, England. The ‘adifit for LIFE’ programme has received World and European Best Practice Awards for Corporate Wellness.

Dr. Dugmore has been working in Cardiovascular Medicine and Wellness for 30 years and has written extensively on health, exercise and heart disease. He has worked with several companies in the United Kingdom including Schwarz Pharma, an international pharmaceutical company, Adidas, the sporting goods company and Allied Dunbar, one of Britain’s largest insurance companies, who were co-sponsors of the first National Fitness Survey. His background includes over 17 years experience working within education, teaching at primary, secondary and university levels. His doctoral research conducted within the U.K. specialized in cardiovascular medicine and focused on the rehabilitation of post heart attack patients and was published in the prestigious journal “Heart” (April, 1999).

Dr. Ann Hawkins-Hood, Board of Advisors; President of Global WellCare.

Dr. Ann Hawkins – Hood is a noted sports management; well care and fitness expert with specialization in corporate/hospital well care relationships and developments. Emanating from her doctoral dissertation on the financial benefits of well care, and through her affiliations, she has consulted on hundreds of fitness related facilities.

Dr. Ann founded WellCare Dimensions, Inc. in 1994 to educate and provide great health related programs and products to the healthcare, corporate and institutional market places. Her primary goal was to integrate “wellcare”, i.e. keeping people well through diet, exercise and responsible healthcare, into the corporate and healthcare environment and make the integration financially successful.

Prior to WellCare Dimensions Dr. Ann worked in both the academic and corporate arenas. She was an Associate Professor in Health and Physical Education at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, Wisconsin with a focus on pedagogy and held the same position at Springfield College, Springfield MA teaching medical fitness classes and sports management. She was a leader in the fitness equipment industry as a Market Specialist Director for Life Fitness. She developed marketing and sales programs to specialty markets, including corporations and the medical arena and worked directly with clients assisting in design, program development and fitness equipment selection for wellness centers.

Dr. Ann received her undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO., her Masters Degree in Physical Education Administration at Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID and her Doctorate of Education in Sports Management at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO.

Poonam Dhawan, Board of Advisors: CEO, The MedTrava Group

Bringing years of marketing and business management experience in both startup and world-class companies, Poonam is the founder and CEO of The MedTrava Group, a company that specializes in outsourced healthcare services connecting patients and corporations with affordable, high quality medical treatment available in India and around the globe.

Having held executive positions in several high tech companies, Poonam leverages diverse international experience and successful track record in strategic planning, product marketing & management, including marketing rollout, communications and positioning. Most recently she was at Sun Microsystems where she had global responsibility of the outbound marketing for Sun’s Software Business Unit. Prior to that, Poonam was CEO, GeoMosaic, a consulting firm providing services in strategy, marketing and business development for companies in the US and in India. She has also served as Vice President of Global Marketing in both publicly and privately held companies such as Commerce One, InferData and Webtaggers.

With a keen focus on bringing innovative technologies to market, Poonam was part of the core team responsible for taking Pervasive, Inc., a leading supplier of embeddable database software, to a successful IPO. At Tivoli Systems, Inc., (acquired by IBM), she oversaw the definition, positioning and promotion of the company's applications management solutions. In this position, she managed the $100M product portfolio and the executive relationships with industry leading corporations such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Microsoft and Seibel. Poonam served as a member of the core team responsible for leading Exterprise, Inc., a provider of collaborative process management software, to a successful acquisition by Commerce One.

Cherie Stein, Board of Advisors; Founder Affulent Insights. Former VP of Marketing for Canyon Ranch

Cherie Stine, a recognized thought leader in the wellness industry and a highly regarded speaker in the luxury marketing arena, spent more than twelve years in television advertising, eventually heading up Nielsen University, an educational center to teach major advertising agencies across the United States how to use television ratings to target audiences with appropriate messaging.

She left television to take on the role of Vice President of Marketing for Canyon Ranch, the most awarded spa and wellness brand in the United States, where she was responsible for two resorts in Tucson, Arizona and Lenox, Massachusetts, three spas located in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel, at Gaylord Palms in Florida, and on board the QM2 luxury cruise liner, in addition to marketing Canyon Ranch real estate endeavors in Chicago, Cabo San Lucas and Miami Beach and launching a skin care line in partnership with Frederick Fekkai.

In great demand for her insight into how luxury consumers make buying decisions, she took on a Senior Marketing role at The Cliffs, a developer of eight luxury communities best known for developing Tiger Woods' first US golf course in North Carolina. She continues to work with The Cliffs in a consulting role as the strategy for America's First Luxury Family Wellness Retreat (tm) unfolds. Cherie is currently a Founding Partner at Affluent Insights, a marketing consulting firm, and works primarily with luxury brands. She is the mother of five year old Sienna, an absolute joy, and is a practicing Reiki Master and Henna Artist.
